Cross-college English is a challenging, demanding but rewarding area of the College. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced English Lecturer, who is an organised and enthusiastic teacher seeking the next step in their career. We are seeking a Course Team Leader for English, to help co-ordinate and support the development and delivery of the GCSE English curriculum, teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills to vocational learners.
You will need to possess a relevant degree and an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. PGCE / DET). You should also have at least two years’ experience of delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English successfully and an excellent knowledge of the subject area. You should be able to supervise and motivate the team and have the ability to work effectively with other curriculum teams and advise on the embedding of English in the College.
