The Student Wellbeing Team has become an innovative, proactive and preventative service to best support our students’ health and wellbeing.  We strive to promote self-care, social and personal skills, engaging with students, curriculum teams and business support teams to ensure consistent information is provided. The Student Wellbeing Team is a positive, solution focused and energetic team that works hard to deliver a service that best supports our learners in all aspects of their health and Wellbeing to enable them to achieve their full potential. 

In this role you will work collaboratively with all members of the Student Wellbeing Team, support College and Wellbeing initiatives and  use the Learner Experience social media pages to raise awareness of key mental health and safeguarding messages. You will assess the needs of students and support as appropriate, signposting to internal or external support services, identifying safeguards that need to be implemented or outlining an action plan to support the student in moving forward. 

This role includes safeguarding responsibility. You will be expected to identify safeguarding concerns, make appropriate referrals in line with All Wales Safeguarding Procedures, Social Services & Wellbeing Act (2014), Welsh Government Keeping Learners Safe policy and the Prevent Duty. 

Please note that although this is a Term Time Only contract, there will be a requirement to work throughout August during the weeks of Summer School.
