Technician in Science

We have a great opportunity based at our Wellingborough campus for a Technician in Science to become a key member of our Access to Higher Education department.

As a Technician in Science, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Providing effective Technical support for teaching and learning in the Science Laboratories.
  • Supporting delivery of Science practical sessions. 

Our ideal candidates will have experience of preparing solutions and materials for classroom practicals and knowledge of health and safety procedures and practices, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 or equivalent Science qualifications
  • Level 2 English and Mathematics or willingness to achieve English and Mathematics Level 2
  • Willingness to train as a first aider
  • Willingness to undertake other essential health and safety training

21 hours per week (0.42255 FTE) / 35 weeks per year

273 hours holiday per annum, pro rata
