Would you like to work for an organisation steeped in history but focused on the future and recognised worldwide as an organisation of excellence?  An organisation that promotes a healthy work/life balance and recognises and rewards achievements?  If so, then Norland is the place for you.

We have been awarded the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) Gold standard for delivering consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for our students. In March 2019 we were also granted Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) by the Privy Council and now offer our own BA (Hons) Early Years Development and Learning degree alongside the prestigious Norland Diploma.

We are looking to appoint to a full-time Lecturer in Early Years to join our busy and thriving Learning and Teaching department from 1 September 2021. Students at Norland study a unique combination of the BA (Hons) Early Years Development and Learning degree programme together with the Norland Diploma, a practical based course which prepares students for working with babies, young children and their families.

You will teach on both the degree programme and the Norland Diploma. This will include preparing and delivering lectures and also marking student assignments.  The role also requires the post holder to be a personal tutor and a dissertation supervisor to students.

The successful applicant must be an experienced Early Years Lecturer and must be able to demonstrate experience of working with babies, young children and their families.

You will need to be a self-starter, with the ability to get on well with people, be highly organised in order to meet deadlines and work to a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.  A flexible approach to work and a friendly, approachable nature are key to being successful in this role.

*We hold a good amount of staff parking spaces at both sites and all staff are often accommodated with a space, although there will be times when staff are asked to park off-site and this is managed on a rota basis
