Lecturer in Health, Social Care and Early Years

Following the re-opening of our Wellingborough Church Street campus last year, we have a great opportunity to join our team as a Lecturer in any or a range of the fields of Health, Social Care & Early Years.  We are starting to deliver T Levels in Childcare & Education and Health Professions and we are looking to enhance our delivery team in these sectors. 

Childcare & Education requires experience from Teaching Assistants and Early Years.  The Health professions requires specialists in Adult Nursing, Midwifery, Care of Children & Young People, Mental Health and Therapy.

As a Lecturer with The Bedford College Group, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Preparing, delivering and assessing subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
  • Undertaking course administration as necessary.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments within the Programme Area regarding curriculum and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities for the Programme Area.

Ideal candidates will have experience of ability to teach a range of subjects and levels within Health, Social Care & Early Years subject areas, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Degree in a related subject area
  • Ed or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Level 2 English and Maths

Not teacher qualified? Not a problem.

If you do not currently hold a teaching qualification, but would be willing to work towards attaining one.  We can support you, if you have relevant experience within the Health, Social Care & Early Years through our Teaching Apprenticeship scheme.  For more information click here.
