Hourly Paid Assessor / Lecturer – Structures and Maths

Are you studying for higher qualifications in structures but would like the opportunity to do some practical teaching? We are seeking individuals interested in sharing their knowledge in this diverse college. Applications are invited for part time / sessional working.

The Built Environment Sustainable Technologies programme area serves a wide range of leading employers to develop their staff to progress into joining national organisations such as ICE, CIOB, RICS, IStructE and CIBSE. Courses are run from Level 3 to Level 7. Providing a range of Further and Higher Education related courses for Apprentices, part time and full time learners at all levels. 

We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Hourly Paid Lecturer to join a high-profile team delivering Professional Construction courses with skills in structural engineering and maths. Candidates should be confident to teach steel, reinforced concrete and timber design at levels 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 4/5 qualification in a Professional Construction subject. The post would suit postgraduates in research looking for new challenges. You will have the ability to work proactively and inspire students within this subject area.  The college may support with teaching qualifications if appropriate for a candidate with structural design experience.
