WHAT WE DO 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our specialist 14-16 Developing Skills Programme team. The successful candidate will be proactive, innovative and will thrive in a busy and challenging environment. This rewarding role will enable you to make a significant contribution to the effective delivery of Maths to students that need to be re engaged, motivated and supported in their learning. You will be required to plan and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment in line with our required standards for GCSE, Functional Skills and RARPA.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans
• Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners
• Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course
• Be responsible for recording student progress
• Maintain and update knowledge of the subject and, or vocational area
• Maintain and update knowledge of educational research to develop evidence based practice
• Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression
• Reflect on what works best in teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of students
• Adapt curriculum delivery methods to maximise their effectiveness, including through the use of technology
• Carry out internal verification and moderation

YOUR PROFILE 

• You will hold a relevant qualification in maths
• You will ideally hold a PGCE or Level 5 certificate in education, or have a willingness to work towards
• You will be experienced in working with 14-16 students in an educational setting

If you are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen and you were resident in the UK on or before 31 December 2020, you have until 30 June 2021 to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme, you can continue to prove your right to work in the UK with your passport and identity card up until 30 June 2021. 

There is no change to immigration and right to work for British and Irish Citizens.
