An innovative practitioner, with an abundance of enthusiasm and commitment to the learning environment are essential qualities for this role as Academic Practice Tutor in Biosciences (including: Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Physiology and Pathophysiology). Acquiring academic knowledge for our students is pivotal to their continued development, not only for success on programmes whilst studying at CU Coventry, but also in the wider context of progression into suitable and relevant employment. This role is to ensure there is a specific focus on programmes in improving the student experience by contributing to the delivery on course, relevant, inspiring and thought-provoking approaches. 

You will work in the Health and Life Sciences area and be central to ensuring you research and create the best learning environment for our students to embed robust academic practice into assignment production. You will work collaboratively with Course Leaders and Tutors on the Foundation Year in Applied Biosciences and BSc (Hons) Applied Biosciences to ascertain specific delivery approaches required to provide the best experience for students. You will be engaged with personal tutoring, to student groups, and you will participate positively in writing innovative assignments; provide genuinely robust feedback for improvement, and ensure you are maintaining your professional development. You will work in conjunction with Learning Resources teams, especially, the Academic Writing Tutor(s) so that our students are fully enhanced with necessary skills to succeed.
