We also have a thriving University Centre at York offering a range of courses from Foundation degrees to Masters level.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual who will lead the management of exceptional Residential and enrichment provision to our students at our York campus.  You will co-ordinate all aspects of the residential provision ensuring the outstanding delivery of safeguarding, supervision and welfare of our residential students. We currently have around 350 residential students, both under and over 18 years old and a mix of Further and Higher Education students.

For our residential students, we want you to create an environment where students feel safe and supported and able to achieve their potential, reaping the benefits of the residential experience. We expect our students to maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement and you will have a key role to play here in supporting them.

In addition you will be responsible for the co-ordination of enrichment activities for both day and residential students, working closely with the Student Union to ensure a wide-range of activities and volunteering opportunities are made available.

You will be an individual for whom the driving force will be to create an exceptional student experience, unafraid of delivering change, someone who is able to develop a good rapport with students and who is positive and has a flexible approach to work. You should have a good understanding of the issues that affect young people that may be a barrier to them achieving their potential, as well as potential solutions to those issues. You will also have the presence of mind to manage any complex or challenging situations in an effective way and have great communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the college.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to enrich the lives of students, ensuring their stay at Askham Bryan College is a safe, enjoyable and rewarding experience.

We offer a dynamic, challenging and rewarding place to work. Our employees enjoy a range of generous benefits including 35 days annual leave in addition to Bank Holidays, pension scheme, free parking as well as the opportunity to work within spectacular grounds.
