CU London is seeking to appoint a full time Tutor in Professional Policing on a fixed term contact until 31/07/2022. The successful candidate will undertake teaching, learning and assessment responsibilities on the BA (Hons) Professional Policing degree course and the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship course.

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic individual who has a genuine passion for teaching and learning and is able to make a meaningful contribution to the student experience. Due to the specific vocational nature of the degrees, we are ideally seeking an individual who has relevant industry experience and is able to practically apply the core concepts taught on the courses. Experience with apprenticeship courses is highly desirable.

Reporting to the Course Leader, you will work as an integral member of the academic team, taking responsibility for the development and delivery of teaching and learning materials, managing student assessment and feedback and supporting curriculum development. You will support student recruitment processes and ensure retention, progression and completion rates are achieved to expected levels.

It is essential that you adopt a collegiate approach to working with colleagues, both within CU London and across the wider Coventry University Group. There is also a need to engage with external stakeholders so experience in this area would be an advantage.

You will actively engage with events, workshops and extracurricular activities to ensure students receive an enhanced experience beyond their core course content. An excellent standard in IT and communication skills, along with the ability to meet deadlines, is essential for this role.
