We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a HR Business Partner on a fixed term basis.
Working as part of the Human Resources team and reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, you will deliver a comprehensive, professional and proactive HR service aligned to business areas that supports the operational and strategic needs of the college to ensure that we continue to grow and develop as a modern tertiary institution.
Working as an HR Business Partner, you will
- Support line managers in the development of their HR responsibilities that are in line with Inverness College UHI policy, best practice and employment legislation.
- Build capabilities, plan and manage approaches that continue to improve business excellence, achieves shared organisational goals and ensures we continue to develop a successful organisation underpinned by our ambition and culture.
Key Responsibilities include Recruitment and Talent Management, Employee Relations and Casework, HR PI’s and Quality Improvement and Business Partnering and Projects.
The successful candidate will have substantial generalist, practical, front line HR experience with a solid understanding of the many different responsibilities of the function. This will include experience of coordinating, managing and resolving a diverse caseload including absence management, grievance, discipline and performance improvement. In addition, you will have demonstrable experience managing and co-ordinating the full recruitment and selection service.
Applicants will have the ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload to meet department deadlines whilst ensuring that all work is of a professional standard.
Successful candidates will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and/or relevant experience of working in a similar role. In addition, you will be CIPD professionally recognised and willing to continually develop your professional skills and qualifications.
