Contract: 37 hours per week, Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Development Manager to join our team at the College. We are looking for someone with a background in continuous improvement in finance processing and who can help us maximise the potential of the Dream accounting software and the ECom purchasing system.

You will be integral in improving how the Finance system interacts with other College systems (such as EBS and Cyborg), looking to constantly improve accuracy and reliability. The post will also involve working with the Income team to ensure effective administration and collection of the College’s debt as well as constantly reviewing opportunities to reduce what becomes debt.

The post holder will oversee the effective introduction of the EPOS system and the introduction of the cashless system for College trips, nursery payments etc. and help to maximise the benefits to students from the funding available, as well as responding to ad hoc requests regarding capital proposals and other financial evaluation as required.

An accredited professional accountancy qualification is essential, as is experience in continuous improvement and an in-depth knowledge of FE and HE funding streams. Someone with innovative and creative ideas would be ideal as we continue to seek to make Nottingham College an outstanding college.

During the Covid pandemic our team has been working successfully from home (as well as in the office where practical) and this may continue for a proportion of our working week post-pandemic, as the College continues to move towards more agile working practices.

The post will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria at application stage from the person specification. Please ensure that you have a look at this specification attached to the Role Profile and complete your application directly from this, as these specifications are an integral part of the selection process.

For further details on this post which the Job Profile and person specification cannot answer for you, please contact David Neilson, email david.neilson@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk

Interviews/assessments are planned for w/c 26th April 2021
