Within our vibrant Creative Arts department in Salisbury, we have a vacancy for a Performing Arts, Music and Media Technician. The role supports students on our Level 2 and Level 3 Music Performance, Music Technology, Media and Performing Arts Courses.
About the Role
The role requires a qualified and experienced Technician who will work with a range of music and performing arts systems to ensure safe technical support for staff and students across our provision for events such as music concerts, theatre showcases and performances, both on and off campus. Maintain resources including care and repair of instruments, audio visual sound equipment, music tech software and hardware, theatre lights, accessories, camcorders, video projectors, and liaise effectively with departmental and wider college teams.
You will also be required to maintain a current knowledge of health and safety requirements, have a driving licence and the training or ability to work at heights, manage first aid processes and undertake any further training required.
About You
To apply for this role, you will hold a degree within a relevant subject (Performing Arts, Music or Media) and have work experience from within a similar position or industry. You will be enthusiastic and organised with good communication skills. You will be a team player who is able to effectively prioritise your work and be a helpful and supportive figure for both students and academic staff.
