WHAT WE DO
This is a fabulous opportunity to join the College Management Team and be part of one of the largest further education institutions in the country. As a Head of School at our flagship Printworks campus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this diverse Business school and develop a cutting-edge curricula in one of the largest business-centred cities outside of London. Our Heads work with few rules but clear boundaries and enjoy autonomy to independently lead and shape their school and actively contribute to wider college life. They place the quality of teaching, learning and the stakeholder experience at the heart of their decision making and provide first-class curriculum and business leadership. We are looking for an individual with experience of developing vocational and professional curricula, who has lots of enthusiasm, will embrace change, has a natural can-do attitude, will provide strong operational and developmental leadership and foster a culture which connects, engages and empowers our staff, and student family to grow and flourish whilst we’re on our journey to achieving outstanding.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Plan, develop and deliver a curriculum which effectively meets the needs of learners and employers.
- Deliver outstanding outcomes in terms of retention, achievement, success and progression.
- Exceed targets for income diversity and volume, as well as for financial contribution.
- Provide leadership in the enhancement of learning and teaching.
- Provide day to day line management for staff and leadership to staff working within the Department/School across all Campuses.
- Ensure the Department/School is efficiently run and delivers its financial contribution targets.
- Ensure that all courses within the Department/School are run effectively and meet awarding body, funding and quality agency requirements.
YOUR PROFILE
- You will be an excellent communicator
- You will have a solution focused, evidenced based approach to decision making.
- You will have a thorough and up to date Knowledge of Government policy in relation to education and training, including its funding and curriculum / qualification reform.
- You will have proven experience managing staff in a FE educational setting.
- You will have proven experience in highly-effective curriculum management, including planning, monitoring, reviewing and improving .
- You will have experience of successful administration and management of financial budgets
