Caretaker

  • Hours of work: 30 hours per week (Monday – Friday 12.00pm - 6.00pm)
  • Location: Wakefield City Campus, however, flexibility and willingness to work at the Castleford Campus is required.

Working within the Estates Department, you will be an active member of the College Caretaking team working on the upkeep and cleaning of the College buildings and surrounding areas.

The Caretaking team has a large impact on the running of the College, demonstrating a great team spirit by working together to get the job done, making the end goal very rewarding.

As a Caretaker you will undertake a varied role which will allow you to work with staff from across all areas of the College and interact with students. Day to day, this role will involve cleaning designated areas of the College, undertaking designated ground maintenance tasks, transfer and assist with the transportation of furniture or equipment and undertaking small scale maintenance tasks.

We are looking for someone who is up for a challenge, hardworking, has a can-do attitude and likes being part of a team. Experience of working in a frontline service and dealing with customers is essential. Previous caretaking experience would be desirable.
