Covid Testing Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of roles to support our need to undertake testing of staff and students when College reopens. If you are able to assist with the process, reasonable travelling expenses will be reimbursed.
Below is a brief overview of the roles and duties involved.
Registration Assistant - Responsible for ensuring individuals have registered and to distribute test kits on arrival. To ensure orderly socially distanced entry of individuals onto the testing site.
Test Assistant - Provides guidance and supervision to individuals on swabbing as required, collects completed test swabs and moves them to the Swab Processor. Ensures cleaning of swabbing bays/desks
Swab Processor - Prepares test sample for analysis, conducts processing of Lateral Flow Test and interpreting of result. Provides results to Results Recorder and ensures cleaning of processing bays.
Results Recorder - Collates results from Swab Processor and uploads to digital solution and college records.
Quality Lead - Responsible for the overall on-site operations at the test site, including day-to-day workforce management. Ensuring quality assurance, deals with incidents and implements risk mitigation across the testing service.
Covid Co-ordinator - Sign-off and schedules testing activities; ensuring communications and consents are actioned (done by registration person); management of positive cases as per college guidelines.

All successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and children and adults barred list checks where the applicant will be employed in a regulated activity.
