About our Role: As Deputy Programme Leader, you will support the Programme Leader and the academic management team in the management and development of our Ulster MSc Marketing programme.
You will ideally have a background in teaching in either Marketing, Business or Accounting and will be responsible to teach at UG and PG levels. You will be responsible for developing excellent working relationships with academic and administration teams to ensure we deliver an exceptionally high quality of teaching and learning experience to students. Future progression opportunities are likely too, in our expanding campus environment.
Your Focus: As an experienced academic you will to have the ability to:
Support the Programme manager in the day-to-day running of the programme
Act as a point of contact for Module Leaders on the programme
Ensure all key academic processes associated with delivery of the programme are completed in accordance with university policy and best practice
Co-ordinate and plan delivery of the programmes
Manage the academic and operational relationship with the university
Implement the University’s academic and quality assurance policies and procedures, and to be accountable for academic standards
Monitor and review student’s achievement/progression and implement additional support mechanisms when appropriate
Develop and promote learning and teaching approaches to support student achievement and experience
Manage staff performance against key performance measures, undertake teaching observation where required, help oversee the standardisation of assessment and identify staff development plans as needed
Assist with preparation for exam boards
Bring your experience:
Masters Qualified in either Marketing, Business or Accountancy related subjects.
Fellowship HEA – highly desirable
Significant Lecturer experience in HE sector
Experience in supporting the needs of international students – highly desirable
Leadership experience with HE Sector
