The Academic Engagement team plays an integral role in driving insendi business, building strong working relationships with global partners to achieve extensive platform engagement and ubiquitous platform adoption. Working with other key teams, it aims to accelerate insendi’s growth by nurturing and optimising commercial relationships.  

We are looking for an Academic Engagement Associate to join our growing team and help support our work. The remit of the role is broad and we are looking for someone with good academic credibility, a baseline knowledge of the edtech industry, and past experience working in a dynamic environment.

The role can be based geographically to suit the successful candidate, with a preference to the UK/EU.

Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Building strategic, long-term, commercial relationships with insendi partners.
  • Collating and evaluating analytics related to partner usage and satisfaction.
  • Supporting partners to establish critical goals as they pursue their internal edtech strategies.
  • Driving business growth through greater advocacy and referenceability.
  • Managing insendi user communities, including the FOME alliance.

Research and Thought Leadership

  • Producing content (blog posts, podcasts, vlogs) on key issues and topics related to edtech and the insendi platform, as well as presenting at global conferences. This thought leadership helps position insendi as an educational leader in edtech. 
  • Growing insendi’s education research capability: undertaking efficacy and impact studies with clients to feed into the latest research in the field to the platform development as well as insendi’s sales and marketing efforts.

Business Development

  • Supporting new business development activities as required. This involves pitching to high stakes audiences by presenting the insendi approach and demoing the platform in full.
  • Reviewing or contributing to proposal or tender documents. 
  • Recognising and capitalising on cross-selling (helping partners trade courses with other insendi partners) and up-selling opportunities.  

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Able to manage workload and competing priorities
  • Sound organisational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and show initiative
  • Ability and willingness to communicate and engage productively with clients 
  • An eye for detail with the ability to deliver work to a high standard
  • An understanding of academic research activities in the field of education
  • Educated to Postgraduate level, ideally doctorate level.
  • Prior experience in an edtech environment is highly desirable.
