JOB OVERVIEW

Kingston University International Study Centre is looking for Student Engagement and Compliance Advisors.

You will work within the existing Student Experience Team to ensure a high level of engagement and integration of all students. You will need to be highly organised, with strong ICT skills and a background in creating/organising and running events.

You will be part of a friendly and welcoming student experience team, responding to, and triaging general enquiries as needed.

The Student Engagement Advisor works collaboratively with other members of the Student Experience Team, academic tutors, and Centre management at KULISC to “prepare international students to progress and thrive at Kingston University through successful completion of their programme”.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Using IT systems (Progresso) to record attendance making amendments and updates as required
  • Monitoring student attendance in accordance with company policy and UKVI requirements
  • Assisting the welfare and progression coordinator in supporting students under the age of 18 years old
  • Responsible for supporting the induction lead and for running student transition and progression events
  • Responsible for creating and running innovative events to support high engagement from all students throughout the student journey
  • Perform duties as a student mentor
  • Monitoring, highlighting and acting on “at risk” and non-engagement indicators
  • Responsible for the election process of student council reps
  • Responsible for supporting the maintenance of accurate student data in existing student management systems and for data uploads in to the systems
  • To assist the wider Student Experience Team and the Academic Management Team in compiling data requests
  • To foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • To support the coordination of examinations during summative assessment periods
  • To provide effective administrative support to the Head of Student Experience and Head of Subjects
  • Actively contributing to the development of processes to improve effectiveness
  • Any other duties as required from time to time by the Centre Management Team
  • To adhere to all compliance requirements in relation to GDPR, UKVI requirements, Safeguarding and Health and Safety

EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a higher educational setting, ideally with international students
  • Experience of creating and running engaging student events
  • Experience of delivering effective administration
