Based at both the Huddersfield and Dewsbury Centres, but with willingness to work at any of the other college sites as required.

Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within modern buildings, with a range of onsite facilities, including a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant Both the Huddersfield and Dewsbury centres are located close to the train station, and have excellent transport links.
As a Lecturer in ESOL, you will teach on a range of courses in the department from pre entry to Level 2. You will have a good understanding of the ESOL curriculum and be experienced in using appropriate teaching strategies to support learning. English, Maths and ICT delivery may be incorporated so experience in teaching entry level, L1 functional skills and/or GCSE would be beneficial. We are looking for someone who is flexible, dedicated, keen to upskill, committed to reflective continuous improvement and a good team player who is willing to bring and share new ideas. You must have recent experience in teaching within a further education organisation. Experience delivering online and confidence delivering digital skills would be advantageous.
The primary purpose of the post is to teach courses both in college and within community settings and to give short- or long-term cover for absent staff while maintaining a high-quality learning experience for students.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience of teaching across Entry level/Level 1 and Level 2, functional skills and or GCSE and teaching within the community/adult education sector.
The qualifications deemed essential for this post include a relevant qualification at Level 5, a Level 5 teaching qualification and a Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C). The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
