We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated lecturer to deliver A Level Sociology at our High Pavement 6th Form in the City. Sociology is a popular and thriving subject at High Pavement, and is part of a diverse Social Science department, which also includes Psychology and Politics.

Contract: 37 hours per week, Permanent

Ideally, the successful candidate will be a confident teacher and have experience of teaching A Level Sociology, and ideally A level Psychology, and have drive, determination and vision that shines through to create outstanding learning opportunities. They will have excellent communication skills, empathy, understanding and the ability to truly inspire and engage young people to excel and achieve their academic potential and career ambitions. The role will also include additional duties that will entail progress monitoring, administration and supporting students as a personal tutor. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they can use new learning technologies and will continue to update their skills through CPD.

We are looking for people who are passionate about teaching in the Further Education sector, and be committed to ensuring that our learners make the best possible progress.
