Lecturer in Motorsport (Fixed-term Contract)

We have a great opportunity based at our Silverstone campus for a Lecturer in Motorsport to become a key member of our National College for Motorsport department.

As a Lecturer in Motorsport, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Carrying out the tasks detailed, efficiently and effectively within the curriculum/programme delivery area, under the direction of the Motorsport Manager.
  • Delivering using a wide range of teaching techniques, skills training to learners to facilitate achievement of the Motorsport Awards, covering practical, workshop based and classroom-based study
  • Planning and preparing teaching and learning programmes for individuals and groups of learners

Our ideal candidates will have experience of teaching Motorsport Race technician programmes in an FE sector or Experience of working in a professional motorsport organisation within the specialist area of race vehicle preparation and experience of quality assurance processes and willingness to work toward an IQA Award, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualifications, such as a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Motorsport or equivalent experience in the motorsport industry.
  • Certificate in Education (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards.
  • Good all-round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A – C).

22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE) / 52 weeks per year

392.2  hours holiday per annum, pro rata

Salary and benefits will vary for offers where enrolment on the L5 Teaching Apprenticeship is required.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
