Uxbridge College has excellent facilities for the delivery of our Engineering provision.  We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with a background in Mechanical Engineering and practical workshop skills to teach across a range of programmes to our vocational learners, mainly aged between 16 and 19 years old.  You would teach across a range of apprenticeship frameworks and standards such as Engineering Technicians (e.g. machinist, mechatronics, engineering fitter, maintenance and operations).

You will need to be qualified to Level 3 in a relevant subject area with practical mechanical engineering workshop experience.  You will have some teaching/training experience within the subject area and the ability to engage and inspire young vocational learners aged 16-19.   Practical experience of lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipment is an essential requirement for this post.  You will either possess or be prepared to achieve the advanced level teaching qualification and Assessor qualifications, which will be supported financially in full by the College.
