Maths Study Support Worker x3 (16-19 Tuition)

We are excited to announce that Hugh Baird College has received additional resources from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to provide vital catch-up support to 16-19 learners in the 20/21 academic year. This has been established to counteract the challenges presented to teaching and learning and the disruption to education learners have faced as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

In this role, you will facilitate small group tuition for 16 to 19 year-olds, who are currently on a study programme, and require support in English, maths, and other courses where learning has been disrupted. You will deliver tuition which will be supplementary to the main curriculum offering and the framework will be led primarily by the requirements of our learners. You will deliver English or maths to small timetabled groups, as intervention support and also through 1:1 sessions.

Candidates will hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in maths and have previous experience of providing academic support to young people.

The full time equivalent salary for these roles are £18,482 per annum/ £10.13 per hour The full time hours for these roles are 35 per week.

All positions are full time and fixed term until 31 May 2021, however we will consider applications for part-time work.
