Subject Leader: Fine Art (Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries)

36 hours per week FTE (to include some evenings and occasional weekends)

Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries is looking to appoint a Subject Leader for Fine Art who will be responsible for the leadership of further, higher and short courses in this sector which currently include HND Fine Art, printmaking short courses and future development of further education provision aligning with the Centres 16-19 courses.

The subject leader will lead on the management of tutors & course directors, departmental resources and quality assurance and create an innovative plan for curriculum development at the Centre with the Head of Art.

You will have a relevant undergraduate degree and teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in further education and have confidence with the associated expectations of this setting.  You will have the ability to deliver a high-quality learner experience and contemporary industry relevant practice to achieve positive impact on student achievement. At Morley College London, we provide long-term, sustainable and affordable programmes of lifelong learning across three centres – North Kensington, Chelsea and Waterloo – including 16-19 provision at North Kensington and Chelsea. 

Following Morley College’s merger with Kensington and Chelsea College in February 2020, the College has restructured its curriculum to facilitate its ambitious plan for development and growth, with aim of the Chelsea Centre becoming a leading institution for skills education in the Creative Arts and Industries as well as addressing the essential skills needs of the local community.
