An exciting opportunity has arisen within Gower College Swansea’s Learner Services department for a Student Funding Advisor.

Responsible for organising, administering and monitoring all sources of student finance, you will also liaise with students regarding funding issues and actively promote sources of funding.

With excellent communication, customer service and organisation skills, you will be a strong administrator with knowledge of financial systems.  A commitment to quality and attention to detail is important, along with the ability to problem solve and work effectively under pressure as part of a team.

Educated to level 3 (A-Level or equivalent) in a relevant field, you will have five GCSE’s Grade A-C or equivalent including Maths and English, as well as good IT and administration skills. Experience of student funding systems and a Level 3 qualification in Advice and guidance are desirable.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than applications submitted in English.

Gower College Swansea is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) and be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).
