Lecturer - English GCSE and Functional Skills

1 full time permanent post; 1 part time maternity cover post
School of English and Maths Location:  Uxbridge/Hayes

Salary:  £28,301 to £39,469 per annum (pro rata for part time post)   1 full time post - 36 hours per week; 1 part time maternity cover until July 2021 - 14.4 hours per week
 

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic Lecturers, one full time permanent and one part time maternity cover, to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English within our cross-College provision.  This is a high-profile area of the college and crucial in supporting our learners with their development and progress onto higher courses or the workplace.

You will preferably possess a degree in English or a related subject area, and will either possess an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (PGCE/DET or equivalent) or be willing to work towards qualification, which will be supported financially in full by the College.   You will have experience of teaching or tutoring English GCSE and/or Functional Skills, and have the ability to engage and enthuse 16 to 18 year olds from a variety of vocational disciplines.
