Senior IT Support Technician

Epsom College, a dynamic and successful independent co-educational day and boarding school on the edge of Epsom Downs, is looking to recruit an experienced senior IT Support Technician to join its expanding IT Support Department.

Working closely with the IT Lead Technician the role includes responsibility to deliver IT Services throughout the school community.   

You will have proven and significant experience of supporting IT network and systems in a real time environment. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to support networks operating systems, administration and curriculum systems, audio/visual systems and associated support systems including email, anti-virus and firewall. 

The successful candidate will have experience of server virtualisation, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration, Microsoft Office 365 administration and MS Windows operating systems.  Experience of FITS/ITIL service delivery, Apple Mac operating systems, Cisco networking and telephone systems, Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams administration would be desirable.

You will have a positive can do approach, be a problem solver, have excellent communication skills and be able to work within a team.  Time management skills and meeting deadlines will be essential. Experience of working in an IT function within a school or education establishment would be highly desirable.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process a criminal check by the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
