Purpose of the role:

Are you looking for your next challenge? Bradford College is looking to appoint an ambitious Head for our Academic and Education Department which includes our GCSE, A Levels, Access to Higher Education and Teacher Education programmes. We expect you to be committed to achieving exceptionally high standards whilst delivering an engaging and supportive environment.

You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing continuous opportunities to demonstrate your ability to deliver results that make a difference for our students. You will be responsible for all aspects of the department so you must be able to demonstrate the skills to deliver this.  This role will be a challenge; but one that will allow you to demonstrate your versatility, flexibility and resilience.

You will be part of the College's Management Team and we will be looking for you to demonstrate your management experience and your knowledge of the 14-19 curriculum and Higher Education programmes. Additionally, you will have what it takes to deliver great organisational skills and be able to support and develop a team effectively to achieve great results.

The role provides an opportunity to play a major part in ensuring that the College leads the way in transforming lives and the futures of our students and our staff.  This role is key to supporting local and regional workforce development plans in what has been a challenging year and will need innovative and inspiring teaching to help our students fulfil their chosen destination.
