Job description

We have a great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for an Associate Technician in Floristry to become a key member of our Land and Environment department.

As an Associate Technician in Floristry, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

• Providing technical support to teaching staff and students in all areas.
• Ensuring that health and safety requirements are met when present in the preparation room and teaching areas.
• Buying, maintaining and controlling stock including flowers and accessories, additional equipment and resources.

Our ideal candidates will have knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area, knowledge of health and safety procedures and practices and knowledge of industry practices, alongside the following qualifications:

• Have a minimum level 2 or equivalent qualification in floristry
• English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year

6 hours per week- September/October 2020- June 2021
