Pembrokeshire College is currently seeking to appoint an assessor/s to work with candidates in their workplace to enable them to gain the new suite of qualifications. The role will include undertaking assessments in the workplace, assisting candidates in the preparation of their portfolio of evidence, carrying out progress reviews and regularly liaising with both candidates and employers.

Salary Details:
£22,872– £24,766 BAR £25,573 - £28,414 pro rata (equivalent to  £11.89- £12.87  BAR £13.29- £14.77 per hour) 
Hours of Work:
15 hours per week (Job share maybe considered for the right candidate/s)

Contract Type: Salaried - Permanent

Qualifications: 

  • It is essential to hold a Childcare qualification at minimum Level 3
  • Ideally you will also hold a recognised teaching/assessing qualification (such as TDLB, D32, D33 or A1 Award) and an Internal Verification Qualification. If you do not hold this qualification, Pembrokeshire College  will support you in gaining this during your employment, within an agreed timescale.

Details:
Recent experience of working in the Childcare sector is essential.  Ideally, you will also have completed an NVQ qualification at level 3 or above in a related field.      

You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.  You will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the proven ability to motivate individuals towards achieving agreed goals.           

This is a highly flexible role that can often be worked around other commitments.  It is a requirement to have access to transport as frequent travel is critical to the position.

Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check prior to commencing work (this is to be paid for by the individual at a cost of £40).

With effect from 1st April 2017 all Workbased Learning Practitioners in Wales are required to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), prior to commencing employment (this is to be paid for by the individual at a cost of £45).
