We are looking to appoint a number of committed Advanced Practitioners to work as part of the Teaching and Learning Team and drive improvements within their Faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and forward thinking team, working towards creating a culture of excellence, placing pedagogy, teaching, learning and assessment at the core of everything we do.

Contract: 37 hours per week, Permanent

We are looking to recruit subject specialist Advanced Practitioners to support the Faculties of Construction and Engineering (STEM including automotive, engineering, construction and built environment, Academic and Progression (including A levels, GCSE and business), and Creative arts Art and Design, Performance, Fashion, Media and Computing and support the development of teaching, learning and assessment.

The role will be focused on developing teachers, working closely with individuals and teams to support professional practice through coaching, project leadership and innovation within their Faculties and Cross College, and will also involve a caseload of teaching to maintain currency in teaching practice.

The role will be line managed by the Faculty Head and will also involve working closely with Curriculum Managers to establish proactive and inspiring TLA development activities both within their Faculty and across the College. The team will work alongside the Head of Teaching and Learning to lead change and improvements in a wide variety of ways as well as nurture a culture of excellence in all aspects of TLA. The intention is to create an exceptional learning experience for all students across all provisions. Advanced practitioners will also be the key link between external TLA and current thinking across the sector and will be required share their skills and expertise across the whole college through leading on a range of cross college projects, initiatives and CPD opportunities.
