Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.  

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a modern building, with excellent on site facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, hair & beauty salons and fine dining restaurant.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching, Learning and Digital Innovation Manager to help us on the exciting journey from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in teaching and learning with a strong dedicated focus on digital development to drive the college forward and enhance our students’ learning experience and outcomes.

You will be committed, passionate and motivated, with a student focused approach and the ability to engage and inspire the same across all College teams.  You will work cross functionally to promote, support, develop and commit to providing outstanding teaching, learning, assessment and digital development. 

You will have an outstanding knowledge and understanding of Further Education provisions and pedagogy, with a successful track record of promoting and implementing positive impact towards effective teaching, learning and assessment in a college environment.

You will have significant experience of Ofsted expectations and an in-depth understanding and experience of high quality education delivery. The successful candidate will drive high expectations and deliver excellent student experiences and outcomes. You will bring a creative and have a functional knowledge of digital development in education to streamline staff workloads and enhance engagement and learning for students. Your experience of digital learning and successful management of your team and leadership across the college will deliver a positive impact and evolve the college’s digital development. 

You will need to be resilient, positive, able to work autonomously, have a strong work ethic, and put our learners at the heart of everything you do.

Suitable candidates should have minimum of level 2 qualifications in literacy (e.g. GCSE English at grade A*-C), Numeracy (e.g. GCSE Maths at grade A*-C) and IT or able to demonstrate equivalent level of ability.  You should  be educated to degree level or equivalent. You should also hold a PGCE or equivalent.
