Engineering - Mech/electronics

Location:  Uxbridge

Reporting to the Head of Engineering – Mechanical and Electronic, you would be responsible for identifying new work experience opportunities for Engineering students.   Working closely with Section Managers within the Engineering Schools, you would establish and maintain a database of Engineering work experience placements and organise the setting up and operation of work experience arrangements.   Responsibilities will involve liaising with work experience providers, students and College staff and maintaining effective systems for the monitoring of work experience placements.  The role will involve visiting employers’ premises and carrying out risk assessment checks.

You should have good administrative skills including working with databases and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.  You should have excellent communication skills with good attention to detail and will be able to work flexibly and on your own initiative.  You should preferably have knowledge of Engineering and/or Engineering companies.  You must hold a full, clean driving licence and have your own personal transport as the role will involve visiting employers in the local area.
