SGS College have an exciting opportunity for a Plumbing Lecturer at our Filton campus.
(Salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience)
Contract Type: Permanent and Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday- Friday)

You will need to be vocationally qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing & Heating and hold an A1 Assessors award or equivalent. Ideally the applicant would also hold a teaching qualification, have experience of working in the Construction Industry, domestic or industrial, and experience of delivering training or teaching in a similar environment. SGS College have an exciting opportunity for a Plumbing Lecturer at our Filton campus.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
To undertake all forms of pedagogic work which may include classroom teaching, tutorial work and associated outreach duties, residential, open and distance learning courses and student placements. To ensure the associated organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking is undertaken. To provide the appropriate student welfare and academic/non academic counselling responsibilities. To undertake an annual teaching workload of contact hours for category ‘A’ duties of 828 maximum to 761 minimum (pro rata for part-time) as detailed in the College workload agreement.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified teacher or willingness to obtain qualification within 2 year (full time posts) or 4 years (part time posts) of commencing employment. Relevant Industrial / commercial qualifications Teaching in FE or schools in an appropriate specialism Relevant teaching experience or appropriate professional experience
