You will be responsible for providing educational and personal assistance to students with learning and/or physical difficulties ensuring that their support needs in an educational context are fully met. You will provide one-to-one or small group support under the direction of the Lecturer in the classroom, assisting with the development of the learners’ literacy and numeracy skills and oral and written instruction.

You will act as a reader and prompter and ensure that reasonable adjustments are put in place for examinations and assessments. You will also support the learners outside the classroom as required e.g. on College trips, in public spaces, during lunch breaks and on journeys as necessary.

You will be educated to GCSE level with passes in Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent. Experience of working with students with learning and physical difficulties would be a distinct advantage.

Please note that the post will terminate should the student receiving support leave the College.
