Lecturer in English and Maths

We have a great opportunity based at our Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough campuses for a Lecturer in English and Maths to become a key member of our ESOL and Adult English and Maths department.

As a Lecturer in English and Maths you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Preparing for and delivering of English and Maths provision to include adult day and evening classes for Adult E+M learners across the Tresham campuses.
  • Planning and preparing teaching, learning and assessment programmes for groups and individuals.
  • Managing the learning process, including appropriate administrative functions relevant to the curriculum area.  

Our ideal candidates will have ability to teach across a range of groups (including day/evening classes) and will have demonstrable experience & success in teaching maths/English at a range of levels, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in related subject area – English and/or Maths
  • Hold or be willing to work towards the DET (Diploma in Education & Training)
  • Good all-round level of education to include Maths and English to
  • GCSE (Grade A – C) or equivalent level (Level 2)
  • Hold a minimum teaching qualification specific to teaching

29.6 hours per week (0.8 FTE) / 52 weeks per year
45 days holiday per annum, pro rata
