Basingstoke College of Technology is a dynamic college in north Hampshire, proud of our excellent employer links and learner progression rates. We are currently recruiting for a lecturer in Applied Science (Biology and Chemistry) to join our friendly and professional team.
The successful candidate will be delivering units on our BTEC Level 3 Applied Science (Forensics Science and Medical Sciences), Access to Higher Education (Biology/Chemistry and Health Care pathways) programmes. The main responsibilities of the role are to devise, prepare and teach on the programmes alongside supporting and guiding learners through the learning process. Interest and/or experience in forensic skills and crime scene investigation would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a significantly related subject and a teaching qualification. As an experienced teacher, you will be flexible, approachable and energetic and preferably familiar with the current issues and challenges within education. You must have the drive, determination and desire to make a difference to young people’s lives through education.
