Salary:    

A04 – A05 (Unqualified Lecturer) £20,825.92 - £21,867.87

AO7 – A13 (Qualified Lecturer) £24,054.44 - £30,585.55

(It is usual for new appointees to commence at the bottom of the scale with progression on an annual incremental basis)

The Department of Education, Health and Community Practice at the University Centre Doncaster is seeking to recruit one full-time lecturer to teach on an expanding portfolio of Higher Education programmes in the Department of Early Years.

The successful candidate will have a Masters level qualification in a relevant Early Years subject area and a PGCE or equivalent teaching/training qualification for the FE/HE sector.  Professional experience in Early Years or wider children’s services is essential.

The post requires teaching on modules from Level 4 to Level 7 on a range of Early Childhood Studies courses (BA Honours, Foundation Degree, BA Top-Up, Masters Degree) and will involve teaching by Distance Learning alongside on-campus and some off-campus delivery.

Applicants should have a broad knowledge of Early Years pedagogy and learning, but we are seeking in particular applicants with specialist knowledge and experience in the following areas: Current Issues, child development, special educational needs, and research in Early Years.
