Teaching responsibility will be with adults at the Enfield Centre, LS7. The ESOL department at LCC has been validated a grade 1 department for the previous two years. There are high expectations of staff, students and managers.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative ESOL manager. This position is to support our twilight, evening and Saturday provision. The successful candidate will need experience in teaching ESOL.

Recent ESOL teaching and managerial experience in the further education sector is essential.

Additional management of adult groups at our community venues may be required with a maximum of four evening sessions per week and working Saturdays.

You will lead on coordinating internal and external exams, both IV and EV. Line management will include accountability for approximately 600 learners and staff who teach from 15:30-21:00 Mon-Thurs and Saturdays 09:30-15:00. Working hours are likely to be 13:00-21:00 Mon-Thurs and 08:30-16:00 Saturdays.

Innovation of curriculum design to enhance delivery will be essential - introducing new technologies to the adult delivery to improve the learning environment for students and lead an inspirational team to be at the forefront of curriculum innovation.

The successful candidate will lead on quality assurance, observations, and strategies for Success, Attendance, Retention, Achievement (SARA). Line management of staff using the statistical data of these key performance indicators (SARA) will be essential. ProSolution, ProAchieve, ProMonitor and Google Docs are our primary technologies for this.

Some teaching will still be required; up to 432 hours per annum

A subject specialist qualification in teaching is required. You will be passionate about your subject and have the ability and desire to enthuse others. You will need to be extremely organised and experienced in course administration and have high expectations of yourself, your colleagues and students.
