Leeds City College is one of the UK’s largest FE establishments with around 1400 employees and over 22,370 students. Offering a diverse curriculum within a vibrant and multicultural learning environment, our goal is to deliver excellent and innovative education which supports and inspires every student to achieve their ambitions.

The HR and OD Team at Leeds City College are excited to welcome on board an enthusiastic Head of OD. We are keen to develop our service even further and continue to create great positive change, as we care about our diverse and individual staff as much as they care about our students.

You will have the interpersonal skills to be a credible, authentic, influential and effective change manager in a fast paced and challenging environment, with sound strategic judgement and an engaging management style.

You will need to hit the ground running; quickly establishing confidence amongst a wide range of stakeholders across three FE Colleges (Leeds City College, Keighley College and Harrogate College) building on the platform of progress and success already achieved. You will be expected to role model the college values (Inspiring, Passionate, Aspirational, Respectful, Collaborative, Celebrate Individuality) in everything you do.

You will deliver a strategic, modern, proactive and valued OD function, providing strategic leadership and direction in organisational development and culture management.

In return we offer an excellent benefits and rewards package, and promise to invest in you and continually support you in your career. Your health and wellbeing is as important to us, as we hope the health and wellbeing of our staff will be to you. As such we are happy to consider applications with flexible working patterns that cater to individual requirements; this can be discussed at interview.

If this sounds like you, then we would love for you to join us!

Leeds City College is committed to Equality of Opportunity (ensuring everyone is treated fairly) and safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applicants are required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check as well as mandatory pre-employment checks which may also include checking social media profiles. We positively welcome applications from all sections of the community.
