In this fantastic job opportunity, you’ll join the student-focused STEM team as a Maths and Computing Tutor. Teaching small Maths and Computing classes of international students studying on our Undergraduate Foundation Programme, you’ll have the opportunity to work in an autonomous environment where student-centred, innovative, lessons are encouraged.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll have the chance to deliver engaging lessons to students. You’ll have the opportunity to teach across 6 Maths modules and 2 Statistics modules. For the next term, there will be around 5-10 teaching hours, that can rise to 10-15 as we progress through the Academic year.

There is a fantastic opportunity in this job role for you to develop. Acting as a specialist in Maths and Computing Tutor you will have the opportunity to be involved in the module design and development. You will also play a key role by contributing to the development of materials and formative assessment. You’ll be working with highly motivated students, in a close team where there will be lots of support.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

  • You’ll be a student-centred tutor, with experience teaching Maths and Computing to a minimum of A-Level.
  • You will require a Masters Degree in Maths, Computing or a relevant subject (Essential).
  • You’ll have experience teaching small-medium size classes at either Highers/A-Level/Level 7 SCQF.
