You will report to the Infrastructure Manager and help provide on site support to our client base nationwide. Travelling around the country will be common and you will be working commonly on small copper and fibre installations as well as other deployments such as WiFi and cellular.
The Network Cable Installer (NCI®) Apprenticeship is perfect for individuals wishing to acquire the knowledge to enable them to complete both copper and fibre cable installation projects and demonstrate the highest levels of skills and expertise in network cabling infrastructures.
To join the infrastructure team to work on pro-active infrastructure projects, as well as undertaking reactive repair and survey work. The job will be an active role that will involve manual work within corporate buildings around the country. You will be working on copper and fibre installations and repairs, as well as documentation surveys and other infrastructure installations such as UPS, switch, wireless AP and router installs as and when you have the relevant experience.
Within this role you will learn to carry out all aspects of data cabling including:
- Pulling cables
- Cable terminations
- Fibre splicing
- Testing and troubleshooting
- Installation of various types of containment
- Installation of network devices
- Construction of data cabinets
- Working in a team environment
