We are seeking a pro-active and well-organised individual to fill the role of Attendance Co-ordinator, based within the College’s Hair Beauty, Hospitality, Early Years and Performing Arts school based at our Hayes Campus.
You would work closely with students, their parents, Lecturers and other College staff, working in a proactive way to ensure students attend College regularly and achieve their learning goals.
Main responsibilities include identifying and acting immediately on problems relating to student attendance, punctuality and progress to ensure that students maintain an excellent attendance record. You would take a pro-active role, including engaging ‘at risk’ learners in person and over the telephone. You would also maintain student attendance databases, produce reports on different groups, discuss students’ progress with teaching staff and arrange student disciplinary meetings regarding attendance.
You will need to possess good organisational and administrative skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be confident using databases. You should have good literacy and numeracy skills, be pro-active and have a confident telephone manner. Experience of working with young people in an educational environment would be an advantage.
