Working week: Working week to be confirmed. With some 8.00am starts and 6.30pm finishes.​

 Total hours per week: 30.00

We need somebody to ensure all visitors and telephone callers to the practice are greeted professionally. The successful applicant will file away medical records, book patient appointments, scan documents to medical records, and assist patients with queries sign-posting them to the right place.

• To cover reception area duties, including answering telephone calls promptly from patients, other Bearwood Medical Centre employees, other health care professionals and general business callers.
• To understand the appointment protocol and to fully understand the relevant modules of SystmOne to primarily book / view / cancel / amend appointments and processing requests for home visits and to demonstrate a professional telephone manner at all times, providing excellent customer service.
• Scanning.
• To undertake general clerical duties as required.
• To participate in team meetings and training as appropriate.
• To be familiar with and adhere to Bearwood Medical Centre policies, procedures and protocols.
• To undertake extra duties as deemed relevant to the post under the direction of the Practice Manager, including cover for staff absence within the surgery.
• Making tea and coffee when required.

• An understanding of a healthcare setting would be an advantage, but full training will be given

Desired qualifications

GCSE A-D in maths and English or equivalent is required.
