We are looking for a Maths Tutor to join the STEM team. This is an exciting job role where you will teach small groups of international students on both Level 3 and Level 6 Science and Engineering Programmes. We are mainly looking for a Tutor that can teach Level 3 Pure Maths and Mechanics. However, there is also the opportunity for you to teach Level 6 Java Programming. As there are only a few hours available in these areas, it would be highly desirable that you are able to teach in other areas. There are no set days that we currently require teaching so we are able to offer you flexibility depending on your circumstances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this job, you will be teaching areas of Maths to international students across our Level 3 and Level 6 programmes. You’ll be given the autonomy to be innovative and engaging to enhance the learning experience. You’ll undertake marking and feedback provision on a formative and summative basis, and you’ll also have the chance to support the development of the student’s independent learning.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Your experience will be teaching Level 3 Mechnaiciss or Pure Mathematics.
  • A relevant first degree in Maths or a relevant subject.
  • Experience teaching Level 6 Java Programming or Level 6 Mathematics or Level 6 Statistics (If teaching Lon Level 6
  • Either teaching qualification OR postgraduate qualification in Mathematics or related discipline is essential
  • Experience of module development and/or module coordination (desirable)
