(36.66 hours per week; term time over 38 weeks)

Actual salary £16,581.62 - £18,130.28 for full academic year, however please note this will be pro rata for this appointment based on your contracted working weeks and start date (Full time equivalent salary £19,798.95 – £21,648.10 based on 52 weeks). It is usual for new appointees to commence at the bottom of the scale with progression on an annual incremental basis.

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated individuals to join our Pastoral Coach team.  The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring students are effectively supported, retained and achieve.  The successful candidates will also support the needs of individual students by providing ongoing interventions through a range of activities such as group tutorials, attendance support, employability and citizenship skills development, student voice activities, target setting and monitoring, academic support, cross college events and referral to other support services as appropriate. 

The successful candidates will possess or be willing to work towards the Certificate in Education and Training or an Award in Education and Training level 3 as well holding  Level 2 Maths and English qualifications.

You will have previous experience of working with young people in a tutoring, mentoring or coaching role and have an understanding of teaching and learning in the context of one to one and group tutorials.

You will be able to work to deadlines, whilst managing and prioritising effectively and be able to manage complex and demanding casework. You should also have the ability to understand and analyse data to improve student attendance and performance.
