Teacher / Lecturer In Mathematics
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed teacher of Mathematics, teaching on our A level Mathematics and Core Mathematics programmes. It is an exciting time to join the College and we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our distinctive educational setting.
You will deliver inspiring teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed in A Level Mathematics and Core Mathematics. You will prepare and plan innovative and effective lessons, monitoring the performance of students against Alps target grades and providing effective intervention strategies to ensure the success of all students. Ideally you will also have the ability to deliver on the GCSE Mathematics programme.
You will have relevant, successful experience of teaching Mathematics in a post-16 setting. We do not offer AS levels so you should be able to assess, track and monitor your students effectively over the two year A Level programme. In the classroom, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students with varied and outstanding teaching and learning strategies.
A relevant degree (or equivalent) and a teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET/DTLLS) are essential requirements for this post.
Loughborough College Sixth Form is a priority department for the College and we are looking for candidates who will work to develop the provision within this area and embrace exciting and innovative modes of delivery.
