To meet our vision of achieving far-reaching, progressive change and impact through learning, we need an enthusiastic and inspiring Learning Support and Care Assistant Coordinator to join our Supported Learning team at Guildford College. The Supported Learning team works to support learners who face substantial barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs. This post provides an excellent opportunity for someone with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. The post holder will be responsible for the daily supervision and deployment of a substantial team of Learning Support Assistants.
Successful candidates will have significant knowledge of range of learning difficulties and disabilities, experience of leading a team and knowledge of best practice in learning support. In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational, team working and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
This role is full time at 37 hours per week.
