Statistics Tutor

Due to some very exciting growth, we are looking for Statistics Tutors to join The University of Sheffield International College.

As the largest pathway college within the UK & Europe, with over 1,500 students enrolled annually, you’ll be joining a large collaborative team that are passionate about teaching and learning. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this job, you’ll deliver our Statistics provision, teaching groups of international students across our Level 3 and Level 6 programmes. Our class sizes are on average between 18-20 students, and you’ll be given the autonomy to be innovative and engaging to enhance the learning experience. The job will give you an average contact time of 22.5 hours per week, and there will be material development for you to be involved in. You’ll undertake marking and feedback provision on a formative and summative basis, and you’ll also have the chance to support the development of the student’s independent learning.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Your experience will be in teaching Statistics (or Econometrics) in a Further Education or Higher Education context, teaching at a minimum of Level 3 (and 6, if stated above). (essential)
• A degree in a relevant subject. (essential)
• A post graduate qualification in a quantitative subject. (essential for level 6)
• A recognised teaching qualification (desirable)
